Our Return To Aspen Is Less Than A Month Away

It's hard to believe that we are less than a month away before our first hockey skills camp of the summer in beautiful Aspen Colorado. Scrolling through the current registration list, it is great to see so many of the same names from last year while also welcoming some new faces.

Just as a refresher for some of our new readers, Mountain High Hockey was formed just over a year ago by Cody and myself. Aspen was the home to our first ever camp. We couldn't be more excited about returning and seeing all the progress that last year's younger players have made.

Aspen Weekend Recap

With our Hockey Skills Camp in Aspen coming up next month, we decided to take the family for a quick weekend getaway to restock the camp flyers and brochures. I reached out to Aspen Hockey Director Shawn Hathaway saying that since I was coming up, if he wanted to round up some of the locals goalies I'd be willing to lead a goalie training session for them. We covered all the basics in the 45 minute session, but the main goal was to show the goalies things they can work on when a goalie coach isn't around.

A huge thanks to Shawn and everyone else for their hospitality. We look forward to coming back in June for camp.
