Matt Zaba - President
Matt Zaba is currently in his 7th season as the goalie coach with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL. While with the Storm, Zaba has coached 3 USHL Goalies of the Year for the first time in league history as well as 4 NHL draft picks.
Before joining the Storm, Zaba was the goalie coach for his Alma Mater, Colorado College Tigers.
Prior to coaching, Zaba spent three years as an NHL contracted goalie with the New York Rangers being coached by legendary goalie coach Benoit Allaire.
Zaba spent his last 5 years playing professionally in Europe with HC Bolzano and the Vienna Capitals where he was coached by Swedish National Team goalie coach Stefan Ladhe.
Curtis McElhinney - Director of Coaching
Curtis is currently the Director of Goaltending Development and Scouting for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Curtis is a two time Stanley Cup Champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning, a two time All-American with Colorado College and a two time AHL All-Star and a veteran of 16 NHL seasons.
Curtis will be responsible for overseeing the coaching staffs development and will be heading our online video and mentorship program.
Colin Champine - Head Coach
Colin Champine has been coaching with the MHH Goalie Club for the last 5 years after finishing up his playing career at the University of Colorado. Colin has comes with a great pedigree having previously been the Goalie Director for Arapahoe Youth Hockey, Team Colorado as well as with the Colorado Thunderbirds.
Jake Larson - Head Coach
Jake Larson is currently the goalie coach for Metro State University, Heritage High School and the competitive goalie director for the Hylands Hills Hockey Association. Responsible for leading our Association programming and one of our Head private lesson coaches, Coach Larson has working closely with Matt Zaba and Tate Maris for the last three years to implement our MHH GC training model.
Nevan Costello - Head Coach
Nevan Costello joins the MHH Goalie Club coaching staff after graduating from Merrimack College. Nevan has been coached by some of the best coaches on the East Coast in Brian Eklund with Mass Crease and Doug Michaels of The Goalie Academy.
